Romeo and his companions almost immediately encounter Juliet’s cousin Tybalt, who challenges Romeo. Their families are enmeshed in a feud, but the moment they meet-when Romeo and his friends attend a party at Juliet’s house in disguise-the two fall in love and quickly decide that they want to be married.A friar secretly marries them, hoping to end the feud.

Totally and completely brilliant – best evening’s entertainment 4 just ages. Truly Shakespearean mixture of low comedy and high drama. This show would have been great when I was studying R&J for GCSE. I don’t like Romeo and Juliet that much, but you brought it alive. Something really different, whilst remaining true to the script. I’m studying the play at GCSE, and really admire the way you emphasised both the highly funny, and tragic moments amazingly. The fun does not detract from the tragedy of it all – a fine balance.Ībsolutely stunning. Your interpretation makes me wonder if this is how it should be done. This has shown a new meaning of R&J that even Will himself would have enjoyed. What an incredibly brilliant and original production! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and particularly liked the way you involve the audience.Ībsolutely brilliant! It was nothing I imagined it would be!Ī most brilliant performance. “ reveals that wonderful art of being able to laugh, with others, at ourselves”

Would that Shakespeare was performed this way when I was at school!” “A fascinating interpretation…moving and innovative. “A side-splitting production – creates a novel and highly memorable version of the star-crossed lovers." “A wonderful sense of play - One of the most enjoyable and hilarious productions I have seen – inspiring.”
